OUR FAVORITE LITTLE ROAD TRIP
Our favorite half-hour drive is down VT-100S and US-4E to the gorgeous and quintessential Vermont town of Woodstock. Stroll through the town green, check out the famous Woodstock Inn, and pop into the cute shops, restaurants, and coffee shops.
Don’t miss Farmhouse Pottery on Rte 4 just outside of downtown Woodstock.
Just a bit further south is the Quechee Gorge and the Simon Pearce Flagship Store, Restaurant and Glassblowing Workshop- check out their “seconds” shelves for some deals on beautiful glassware.
FARMER’S MARKET
The Vermont Farmers Market is one of the largest and most diverse farmers markets in Vermont, and the first to operate 52 weeks out of the year. They bring together as many as 60 vendors from Vermont and Washington County, NY. We often visit the Rutland market on Saturday mornings in the winter. Visit vtfarmersmarket.org for locations and hours of operation during the different seasons.
In the summer, Killington has its own Farmer’s Market on Fridays from 3-6 PM behind Killington Sports on Rte 4. Visit Killington.com for more info.
